The Prinz Luitpold Haus is one of the oldest DAV huts in the Allgäu Alps and is located at an altitude of 1,846 meters. From the beginning of June to the beginning of October, the friendly host family will spoil you with refreshing drinks and tasty food. They taste best on one of the two sun terraces, from which you have great views. You can also spend the night at the hut. There are 160 beds available. From the Traualpsee it is only a short walk to the Landsberger Hütte. The path is partially secured with wire ropes. Surefootedness is an advantage

I often hear that you should walk all the way around the Schrecksee. Right on the shore. But I don't think that's very nice. The view from further up is actually much more impressive. Depending on where you come from and how you continue your hike, this situation almost happens automatically. So you don't have to get your legs in your hands right down at the lake.

A very nice hut. The food is delicious and the staff is very friendly.

The Prinz-Luitpold-Haus is beautifully situated with a great view. Overnight stays in the hut can be made via the DAV reservation system.
