Beautiful little harbor with lots of activities...

The Augstmatthorn is an impressive mountain in the Bernese Oberland, known for its breathtaking views and rich wildlife. At 2,137 meters high, the summit offers spectacular views of Lake Brienz, the surrounding Alps and, in clear weather, even as far as the Jura. The hike to the Augstmatthorn often starts in Habkern or Lombachalp and leads along well-marked paths through a varied landscape. The trail is challenging and requires surefootedness, especially on steep and rocky terrain. Once at the top, you will be rewarded with wide panoramic views and the opportunity to spot ibexes and other alpine animals.

Very nice summit with great all-round visibility, unfortunately we had some fog.

Because of the wonderful location on Lake Thun, the possibilities for excursions throughout the Bernese Oberland (traffic hub), for a boat trip on the lake and because of the small castle museum, a visit is always worthwhile!

Swimming in Lake Thun

Very beautiful lakeside path to Faulensee. Great, varied landscape with wonderful views of the surrounding area. The beautiful sayings on the benches are also very interesting.
