                          There is hardly anyone who, when visiting Spiez, does not pay a visit to the shady and flat (pram-friendly) beach path from Spiez to Faulensee. Everywhere, the dense canopy of trees leaves a window open, from where walkers can enjoy an impressively refreshing view of the waters of Lake Thun. Along the beach path, a spacious barbecue area with all the comforts invites you to hot family fun, the famous and listed "Schattenbädli" entices brave passers-by to dive even more bravely into the ice-cold waters of Lake Thun, and the Faulensee fishing base provides young and old with interesting facts about Lake Thun fish and their habitat. Right next to it is a small lawn with a pebble beach, which promises free bathing fun with a beautiful panoramic view of the maritime-alpine landscape of the Bernese Oberland. At the beginning and end of the beach path, you can enjoy a meal in numerous restaurants, hotels and beach bars, or even board one of the scheduled boats.
