This viewpoint offers a view over the high treetops to the peaks of the Ore Mountains ridge. The panorama stretches from the Pöhlberg and Bärenstein to the Haßberg (Jelení hora) and the Czech Spitzberg (Velký Špičák).

At Schatzenstein you will find Nagel's Column, Station 127 of the Saxon State Survey of 1864, and the memorial plaque for Max Schreyer, the composer of the "Vuglbärbaam" song. A large rest area with a shelter offers space for a relaxing break.

Beautifully designed and informative

In addition to the 700-year-old linden tree, the castle park also boasts many old trees, including plenty of benches in various locations for relaxation and enjoyment.

The Electorate of Saxony post mile post is located directly in front of the Reutherhaus on the castle square.

The Reutherhaus is located on Schlossplatz. It is built in the Baroque style.

Not only can you hike here, but you can also book various excursions, whether by sled, walking the dogs yourself, or a short walk with extended cuddles. Almost all of the dogs come from animal shelters that were improperly cared for. And you can tell they're doing really well there. 👍🏼 😉 My son and I first went for cuddles and walks, but in February 2026, I'll be taking a hiking course. I love this place. 🥰
