A beautiful rest area with lots of information

"Prösa" is the name given to a small village in the northeast of the old Liebenwerda Heath. The name is derived from the Slavic word "breza," also "briza" (brschiza), meaning "birch." Another landmark are the two old linden trees on the village green, in whose shade stands a monument erected in 1953 to commemorate the Karl Marx Year, as well as an old cast-iron water pump. There is also a listed historic half-timbered house here, dating back to around 1800. Two benches with large carved figures also catch the eye.

One of the town's landmarks is the bell tower. It is not known exactly when it was built in its current form. The bell was consecrated on December 7, 1852. It was rebuilt in stone in 1896. The previously wooden tower was sold to the highest bidder. https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kraupa
