It may not be the Lüneburg Heath, but it's no less beautiful for that. The nature park doesn't have naturally occurring heather, but rather a result of military use, i.e., fires caused by shelling and tank tracks.

🌾Today, we moved along the sandy ground, sometimes very spongily, and repeatedly looked out into the expanse of the purple and pink heathland.
🪲A few beetles crawled on the ground, their shells a brilliant blue.

⛔💣Once we took a turn too early, we suddenly found ourselves in front of a warning sign stating that this area was not to be entered because it was formerly used for military purposes (a firing range for the East German National People's Army). There are probably still tons of unexploded bombs buried underground.

There were no benches in the area we walked through. At this point, about 5m from the edge of the path, there was a small elevation on which a piece of a tree trunk lay. This gave me the opportunity to take a break, which was good for me. From here you also have a good overview of the entire heathland.
