Beautiful little chapel, nice place

The small St. Cyriak chapel, whose history dates back to the 16th century, is located on the Schluchtensteig.

The St. Cyriak Chapel, built by miners after the Thirty Years' War, is still used today as a pilgrimage church.

The history of the chapel on the Fischbacherhöhe goes back to the early 16th century. Their namesake Cyriak is one of the fourteen Holy Helpers. The church, which offers space for 50 people, is located at the end of an old Fischbach pilgrimage route.

The Lehenkopf, which is 1,039 meters above sea level, is complemented by the 18-meter-high tower, which offers a reasonable view of the southern Black Forest landscape. It is a good stopover on the Schluchtensteig long-distance hiking trail or for tours between St. Blasien and the viewpoints over Urberg or on the Bildsteinfelsen or to the monastery pond near Horbach etc.

Certainly one of the loneliest summit crosses in the Black Forest. Very often you have the cross and the beautiful view to yourself 🦊

Already been out and about in the corner, but I've never been up there, now, if I had only done that earlier, awesome view.
