Fantastically beautiful impressions… it makes the heart smile

Impressive flora and fauna with several levels to admire the waterfalls.

Certainly one of the most spectacular gorges in the southern Black Forest - small but nice, easy to cross in 45 minutes. Easily accessible thanks to bus stops above and below (here with an hourly connection on the Bonndorf - Lenzkirch - Neustadt route)

Often there is a (main) river that has various tributaries. It's different here. From the right the Haslach, from the left the Gutach and from this confluence it continues as the Wutach. Footpath bridges over both tributaries offer route variants in many directions.

In the further course of the Rötenbach Gorge you will pass the Great Rötenbach Waterfall. The not very easy descent from the path to the stream is rewarded with the beautiful view of the waterfall 🙂 On our last visit, the Rötenbach had flowed properly and was deep brown in colour. In midsummer it is more of a tranquil splashing.

nothing for people with a fear of heights. And take good care of children. There is only a steel cable taut. The rescue sector is well done - as long as you have cell phone reception. It would also be good to indicate in which direction you want to run in order to have reception as quickly as possible.

April 2021: Lotenbachklamm: spectacular! Great thanks to SWV Bonndorf, who directed the way again very nicely. It was not easy! Get on slowly and enjoy!
