You can enjoy a beautiful view of the Rhine Valley and the Eifel Mountains from the summit cross above Leubsdorf. A little further down, there's also a bench for giants.

"The "Koppe" forms Leubsdorf's highest basalt hill. It offers visitors a breathtaking view over the town of Leubsdorf and the Rhine Valley to the Ahr Valley and the Vulkaneifel. The neo-Gothic church of St. Walburgis is bright and clearly visible in the center of Leubsdorf "White Church on the Rhine". The heavy summit cross made of oak wood marks the highest point of the basalt summit. It is affectionately known locally as the "Koppe Cross". A few meters away is the Black Lake, which was formed after the “Schwarzenberg” basalt mining site was closed. In autumn, the valley is sometimes hidden in fog, especially when the weather is inversion.

Beautiful, well-kept hiking trails around the Malberg. Goats are currently grazing there to keep the impassable parts free.

On the relaxation lounger you can look down over the steep meadow and across to the Hochsimmer. A nice break!
