This depression drains into the Neuwied Basin through the so-called Halsgraben. Beautiful views right at the beginning of the volcano path. Short and steep climb.

You leave the village of Entringen and reach this hill via a narrow, steep path. From here you have a beautiful and very extensive view.

Mega view all around. The climb is definitely worth it!

You have to be careful not to miss the entrance to the path directly opposite the Teufelskanzel ...

The summit of the Krufter stove is the highest point (463m) on the Laacher See. It is a forested peak and therefore the view of the surroundings of Lake Laacher is obscured. For a nice view, the Devil's Pulpit (view of the forest lake), which is located a little lower, is much better suited.
