The Wietzer Berg rises to 102 meters here, from here you have a wonderful view of the Örtzetal and one of the most beautiful heath areas in the Südheide Nature Park. Here the famous heath poet Hermann Löns is said to have enjoyed the peace and nature of the heath many times. The Lönsstein stands on a heath near the summit, a monument commemorating the heath poet.

My favorite route between Winsen and Celle. I am always happy to take this detour via the Oldau Weir or Südwinsen. The Allerradweg leads through the Aller valley and is well signposted and passable.

Take a deep breath and take the scent with you

A long, low-growth heather landscape invites you to take a long hike. The highlight is a huge crater.

Great forest bike paths away from the streets - a good way to get to Celle

The Tiefental is a particularly attractive part of the heath near Hermannsburg. Actually it is just a depression, but the landscape structure and the wonderfully brightly colored common heather result in a very attractive view. If you are lucky, you will also see a couple of Heidschnucken.

The memorial stone stands at the highest point of a very beautiful heather area. Can get really crowded, especially when the heather is in bloom on the weekend.
