For the construction of the palace complex, some previous buildings were demolished, some were rebuilt, and incorporated into the complex, whose origins date back to the 11th century. Originally, it formed the adjacent connection to the chancellery wing. The rest of the wing was demolished in 1818 due to structural defects.
