Ratibor Castle currently offers three different puzzle tours for children:

- Johann Seeks Toto,

- Georg and Wilhelm,

and a family puzzle related to a special exhibition.

We did "Johann Seeks Toto," and it was really lovely and not at all boring. The children are given a detective kit with helpful tools and a map of the castle. The puzzles are varied and easy to solve. The staff are very friendly and helpful.

There's also a reward at the end.

We'll definitely come back and do the other puzzle as well.

The puzzle tour is included in the admission price.

Children up to 10 years old are free, concessions are €1, and adults are €3.

In 1942, the castle was handed over to the city of Roth as a gift. It has been widely used ever since. In the former royal stables, the city library and the boardroom of the city council are housed, on the second floor of the wing spanning the courtyard the city museum and in part of the ground floor the municipal tourist information. The main building houses the city archives. In summer, the courtyard is used for the performance of the Schlosshofspiele. (Wikipedia)

Ratibor Castle, with its imposing state hall, idyllic inner courtyard, romantic castle garden, and impressive moat, is definitely worth a visit. Guided tours of the castle are offered every first Sunday of the month at 2 p.m., and a combined town and castle tour is available every Wednesday at 2 p.m. from June to September.

Registration and ticket booking are possible via stadt-roth.de/fuehrungen, by phone at +49 9171 848-513, or by email at tourismus@stadt-roth.de.

Opening Hours:

March to November

Tuesday to Sunday and public holidays (except Good Friday): 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Group tours are available at any time by appointment.
