In the Vijlenerbos forest, you can walk along quiet paths that occasionally offer stunning vistas. One of the most beautiful moments along the way is when the path opens up and you look out towards Vaals and the surrounding hills. Especially in clear weather, you can see the undulating landscape stretching far into Germany and Belgium. It's the perfect place to pause, take a deep breath, and enjoy the South Limburg hills.

A beautiful path flanked by tall trees that together form a green tunnel. As you walk through it, you'll notice how the silence of the forest is enhanced by the rustling of the leaves and the soft light filtering through the canopy. The avenue gives the route an almost fairytale-like atmosphere and is one of the most beautiful parts of the walk near 't Hijgend Hert.
