Not much remains of it. These are ruins, some of which have been renovated. The lookout tower is closed, and there's no viewing platform or anything like that. Nevertheless, it's a good place to take a break (there are benches and a table) and enjoy the old ruins. An information panel is also available if you'd like to read a bit about the site.

In the Reunification Fountain, a man and a woman—representing the people in both parts of Germany—hurry towards each other. Their arms are outstretched in a gesture of embrace. But they are running towards an invisible wall that separates them. This impression is achieved by flattening the front faces of the figures.

This is the reunification fountain on Marktstrasse. It commemorates the division of Germany. It shows a couple running towards each other. However, they cannot hug because the border that ran between the Federal Republic of Germany and the GDR at the time is holding them back. The Reunification Fountain was created by the artist Karl Henning Seemann 193-1994. The casting was made by the Strassacker company from Süssen on behalf of the city of Duderstadt.
