Well, it's a shopping hell, all done up nicely. However, I'm also grateful that it's here because on long trips, you can stock up on supplies at the gas station or various fast-food restaurants, and get a coffee or a snack on the way through.

Helmut Kliem lost his life on November 13, 1970, at the border near Falkenhöh when he got lost on his motorcycle. A border guard opened fire—a tragic example of the deadly harshness of the inner-German border. Remember the victims who lost their lives here.
