Congratulations to those who made it here as hikers. The trail down and around the lake to this bridge is not recommended for cyclists. You have to be VERY creative to even recognize a path these days... What a shame!

The bridge is dilapidated and is no longer allowed to be used. The path along the Black Lake is blocked by several large trees. Therefore, the trail is not suitable for all fitness levels.

The "Old Mill" was once idyllically hidden in the Kläden forest. The building, built in 1914 (in 1869 there was only a cottage and a stable on the mill farm), is now used as a holiday and leisure complex. On January 18, 1974, the demolition of the old buildings and the extraction of 30,000 bricks was reported in the "Join in!" competition in the SVZ!

10월 17, 2024, Dröger Kraug Rest Area
The "Dröge Kraug" (dry inn) at this crossroads was a resting place for forest workers and carters a long time ago. They would probably have wanted a pub (tavern) at this point. The old paths are already visible on the Schmettauschen map from 1794. According to this, old highways crossed here. There is a saying about the Drögen Kraug: "If you want to drink and you don't have anything, you should go back. This is the Dröge Kraug. If you have something by you, you can sit back and it's only an hour away. Nothing will bother you in the long run here"

A wonderful hike through beautiful nature. I've hiked this route twice and it won't be my last. Highly recommended!
