The Bindeballestien 36 is a scenic cycling route. When cycling this trail, be sure to bring a camera, as the path offers beautiful views of forests and lakes. It’s also a relatively easy route, making it suitable for cyclists of all levels.

1. Café, General Store, and Campsite The Bindeballe Købmandsgård (Binding Balle General Store) and Bindeballe Station are just 800 meters from your current location. The museum offers an authentic experience with a historic general store selling both household goods and everyday items. There's also a cozy café and a campsite with shelter cabins and tent pitches. 2. The Old Vandel Railway Line The old Vandel Railway between Vejle and Vandel was built in 1897, the same year the station and Bindeballe Købmandsgård were constructed. Runkenbjerg with its unique view Runkenbjerg is a so-called "false hill" formed by meltwater during the last ice age.

The mysterious Seven Lakes get their name from the fact that they are not always there. From ancient times, it has been noticed that the lakes appeared approx. every seven years, or they simply used the magical number 7 for precisely the inexplicable. The facts are that the lakes appear and disappear with the height of the groundwater. And although large amounts of rainfall cause the groundwater level to rise, this does not equate to swelling lakes. The groundwater table has its own "hills and valleys", and therefore the Seven Lakes are very unpredictable. The seven-year lakes were filled with water from 2007 to 2010, and when they reappear, you can experience an incredibly beautiful, open lake landscape in the middle of Frederikshåb Plantage. Even with funny phenomena like a sandy beach on the Jutland heath. The sandy beaches are created when the lakes rise to the open dunes that can always be seen here and there in the area. Even when the lakes are gone, coming here is a special experience. There is a bit of a savannah atmosphere when the former lake surfaces lie like a plain landscape with scattered trees.
