A very old fortified church, parts of which date back to the 12th century. It can be visited. The altar, by the way, was a chance find in the attic and is said to be very old as well. It was probably built around 1450.

Northeast of the village, on the so-called Kirchberg, is the burial pyramid of the von Capella(n) family, dating from 1776. Buried in it are the last two members of the family, Friederica von Cornberg and Adam Friedrich von Cappela(n), who died in 1776 and 1779, respectively. (Excerpt from Wikipedia) On the cycle path, you pass the burial pyramid and can get a good look at it.

Research has revealed two stories or legends about this stone cross: 1. It was a position marker where lepers were provided with food and clothing upon their return from the Crusades (1096-1270). 2. It is said to have been a boundary marker to which the inhabitants of Ifta were allowed to go to bring food to the sick in Lüderbach during a plague epidemic.

From the cycle path, this section offers wonderful views of the landscape of the former border region.

A striking hill that you pass on the cycle path between Ifta and Netra. The hill's name probably comes from the red rock that stands out prominently on the hill.
