The Kiersche Wijdepad, named after the Kiersche Wijde duck decoy, offers a great way to explore the De Wieden nature reserve. Put on your walking shoes and walk along fords, woods and open water. Each season offers a unique experience: the peace in the winter air or the bird-rich summer season, where you can hear the reed warbler, reed bunting or water rail. The route, marked with yellow arrows, is located in the Weerribben-Wieden National Park. Please note: the route is not suitable for wheelchair users or strollers and dogs are not allowed because of the livestock.
