Lake in the heart of the Montagne Noire. It is surrounded by wetlands, called sagnes de Los Menoyos. This water reserve is created by a dam which supplies the entire Carcassonne basin with drinking water.

The segment begins in the undergrowth on a superb uphill path with a few technical rocky passages then joins a beautiful downhill track in a straight line to Fontiers-Cabardès. Do not hesitate to stop at the Club 620 restaurant-bar.

Nice connection by beautiful clear tracks, in the undergrowth or on the paths. The six lakes of the Black Mountain each have their own "character", that of La Galaube offers a magnificent view of the Pyrenees. The final path which joins Laprade Basse is a little stony but superb.
