The Echobos is a wooded area on the western edge of the village of Muiderberg. The forest was part of the grounds belonging to the former Rustrijk estate. The forest itself was created around 1800 and 'named' after the echo wall present there. The Dutch Jewish cemetery is located southwest of the forest. Playground with acoustic mirrors and speaking tubes The 7 hectare park forest contains quite a lot of old beech, oak and lime trees with natural hollows.[1] There are also maples, robinias, rowan trees, holly trees and hawthorns, and stinzen plants grow on the forest floor. Just north of the echo wall is a play area with a few acoustic reflectors and a number of speaking tubes. (Wikipedia)

Asphalt hard surface. This part is also a cycle path, but that is not a nuisance for runners. The short Covered Road is part of the fortress path around the fortress, which also runs here between the inner and outer moats. The children's farm 'de Pluimgraaf' is also located on the Korte Bedekte road, right next to the burg.v.Wettumweg.

from the Adm. Helfrichweg provides a footbridge connection to the fortress path. This part of the Vestingpad is also called the murderer's path by former residents because a long time ago, far into the last century, someone was apparently found who may have been murdered. This part of the fortress path is a walking path with asphalted weaving pavement until the next bridge at the 'oostbeer'

Forms part of the fortress path around the fortress. Asphalt road surface and therefore a good hard surface to walk on. The admin. Helfrichweg is wider than the other vestindpDen because this is also the service road to pastureland, fort Ronduit and the bicycle viaduct located behind the fortress that leads to Valkeveen.

Fort H is part of the Vesting Muiden and belonged to the Defense Line of Amsterdam. The Fort was surrounded by moats and was used for the storage of weapons and ammunition. Now it is a restaurant with a terrace on the edge of the built-up area of Muiden, next to the Vecht and next to the parking lot.

The Keetpoort lock and bridge is located at the end of the Herengracht where you walk out of Muiden to the parking lot just outside the town. The shack gate sluice was a double-acting sluice and had an important inundation function because it could flood a large part of the land behind it. The lock forms the connection between the Vecht and the fortress moat, but also with the barge canal that made the connection with Naarden. The lock dates from 1855. The old swing bridge was replaced in the early 20th century by the current drawbridge.
