In 2025, the Outdoor Stereo Festival (Saturday, August 30) and Hoorn Zingt Hollands! (Sunday, August 31) will take place in Julianapark in Hoorn. Outdoor Stereo is a dance and urban festival, while Hoorn Zingt Hollands is a festival featuring Dutch hits. There's also the Grondslag Festival, a music festival for emerging and established talent, which will take place on Saturday, June 28, 2025, at a location next to the water sports area.

The Overhaal is an important industrial monument, because of the history of the Broekerhaven. In the 17th century, barges from the polder were already being transported to this harbour on the Zuider Zee. At that time, this was done with wheels over a bank.
