The path past the mills ends in a dead end, even though the map indicates otherwise. I made my own way to the paved road.

It was a beautiful place. Now you can only look in one direction to see nature; on the other side, they're building a neighborhood practically right up against the walking path. This is no longer a nice area to walk in; I fear for the animals that live there.

The boardwalk through the Hitland wetlands is a must-see when visiting Hitland. It's an oasis of tranquility for both people and animals. (Note: dogs are prohibited.) There's always something to see as you stroll, but be mindful of your footwear, especially during the wet season.

This observation tower is ideal for birdwatching. Hitland is an oasis for birdwatchers, especially in spring.

I love walking and cycling here during the week. Lots of mosquitoes on a summer evening! Check the reeds sometimes because there's all sorts of mosquitoes here.

Today we walked from Benthuizen. The weather was beautiful. Many cyclists and walkers. The 42 km walk included a tour of the Rottemeer. Very beautiful and wonderful nature reserve. Beautiful bridge. View of the Rotterdam skyline. Very beautiful

We like to walk here and I also cycle through it on a quiet weekday. The area is well worth it in all seasons and it is also nice to go for a walk here (see photos) in the evening.

These bridges are by far the most fun part of a walk around 't Weegje. Playful passages with also a few great spots for a break or even a picnic
