You are allowed to take your dog with you, as long as it is leashed. There are two hills with semi-natural stairs that are pretty steep.

One of the few "forests" near Rotterdam. This route is designed so that as much as possible can be walked on footpaths. There is only one steep climb.

Walked a few times but mostly cycled a lot. I like to sit on a wall for fifteen minutes to watch boats.

If you walk from the corner of the waterway via Fort 1881 to the inner harbour, you will come across this beautiful statue.

The Nieuwe Waterweg is the last part of the connection between Rotterdam and the sea, which was put into use in 1872. The length of this cutting through the dunes at what is now called Hoek van Holland, but at the time belonged to the municipality of 's-Gravenzande, was 4.3 km.

Hoek van Holland is a coastal town in South Holland, located on the northern bank of the Nieuwe Waterweg where it reaches the North Sea. Hoek van Holland is a former sub-municipality of the municipality of Rotterdam, but is located approximately 25 kilometers west of the city of Rotterdam.

It is a beautiful walking area, but of course on a Sunday with nice weather, very busy with families and children. Not bad in itself, but if you are looking for silence, you better go on a weekday.

We visited the great beach of Hoek van Holland during our Christmas holiday in the Netherlands. Hoek van Holland is a district of Rotterdam, but has retained the character of a small coastal town and seaside resort. It is located in South Holland at the main mouth of the Rhine into the North Sea.

Unfortunately, the route mainly consists of cycle paths and motorways - a pity. Would rather make it part of a bike ride than a walk

When you stand on this lookout tower, you don't actually see anything special. You look at greenhouses and on the other side against greenery. There is no view. Completely built in the wrong place. If you want to see birds, use the bird watching hut 100m away, a photo of which is also attached here. Not worth it.
