The highest bar in County Louth along the Táin Way. A traditional Irish pub that offers a cozy interior with a warming fire and excellent food. A favourite amongst locals and hikers!

We had an amazing day thanks to Ring of Gullion Cycle Tours. Our bikes were well maintained and service was exceptional. We were advised by proprietor James to take the Cooley Tour through this app as the weather was spectacular and it was such good advice. Also recommended a stop off at Lumpers Bar and added a drink voucher for good measure. I can’t recommend these guys enough. The service and standard of care was truly amazing. 테인 웨이(The Táin Way)는 카링포드(Carlingford)에서 시작하여 끝나는 40킬로미터(25마일) 순환 하이킹 트레일입니다. 고대 아일랜드 서사시 "타인 보 쿨랑게(Táin Bó Cúailnge)"의 이름을 딴 이 경로는 쿨리 반도(Cooley Peninsula)를 구불구불 지나며 해안 전망, 숲길, 산악 트랙을 다양하게 제공합니다. 일반적으로 이틀에 걸쳐 완료되며, 총 상승 고도는 약 1,025미터이고 검은색 배경에 노란색 화살표로 표시되어 있습니다. 하이킹을 하는 동안 청동기 시대의 석관묘와 같은 역사 유적지를 만나고 카링포드 라흐(Carlingford Lough)와 모른 산맥(Mourne Mountains)의 탁 트인 전망을 즐길 수 있습니다. 오메스(Omeath)와 레이븐스데일(Ravensdale)에 대체 출발점이 있어 다양한 시작 지점을 선택할 수 있습니다. 농경지 구간에서는 개를 동반할 수 없다는 점에 유의하시기 바랍니다.

아일랜드 로스 카운티의 호기심을 자극하는 삼림 지대: 고요한 레이븐스데일 숲에 자리한 소위 "포 돌멘"입니다. 이 돌 배열은 공식 지도에는 표시되어 있지 않으며, 근처 클레르몽 에스테이트의 이전 소유주들이 조경 장식으로 이러한 "선사 시대" 특징을 만들었을 것으로 여겨집니다. 그 진위 여부는 의심스럽지만, 이 유적지는 자연 환경과 완벽하게 조화를 이루며 특유의 매력을 발산합니다. 녹음 속에서 사색을 즐기기에 더없이 좋은 휴식처를 제공합니다. 진정한 고대 유물인지 19세기 양식의 건축물인지에 관계없이, 하이킹에 흥미로운 요소를 더합니다. 이곳을 탐험하고 싶은 분들을 위해, 아나베르나 트레일은 발리마스칸란에서 접근할 수 있으며, 그림 같은 풍경을 통과하는 적당한 난이도의 하이킹을 제공합니다.

The setting is done with great attention to detail, and it almost feels like a quick picnic in the mountains when you sit down at the rustic tables and look into the distance. The patterned cups and saucers give the place a cozy touch and make the whole thing that little bit more special. The view of the surrounding hills and the relaxed atmosphere invite you to take a short break - perfect for resting your legs and just taking a breather. The coffee house is not only friendly to cyclists, but even offers bike rental for the Ring of Gullion. Handy if you need an extra boost for the next stage! The surroundings are green and spacious, a nice mix of Irish idyll and relaxed hospitality. The owners seem to take the attention to detail seriously, which is reflected in the little things like the decorative elements and the cozy atmosphere.

A quick stop at the coffee and snack hut next to Lumper's Bar is just the thing to recharge your batteries after a challenging stage. The small hut offers everything a cyclist's heart desires: fresh coffee, sweet waffles and hearty snacks that give you the energy you need for the next stretch. With the smell of freshly brewed coffee in the air and the cozy atmosphere, it's easy to take a quick breather and rest your legs here. The location right on the road makes it an ideal stopover, even if the traffic can be a bit noisy at times. But hey, who cares about small things with such beautiful surroundings and typical Irish hospitality? The colorful bench and the small decorations give the place a special charm that invites you to linger - even if it's just for a moment.

Camlough Lake is picturesquely nestled between the rolling hills of Slieve Gullion and the Ring of Gullion. Cycling along the narrow roads on the shore, you immediately feel the tranquility that emanates from the long stretch of water. The lake stretches for more than two kilometers and seems like a narrow, silent crack in the landscape - a peaceful place to take a short break or let your gaze wander over the water. I decided to take a little detour and cycled a little closer to the shore on a path. The water was almost still and reflected the range of hills that rise in the background. It may be a paradise for fishermen, but cyclists also enjoy the special atmosphere. The roads around the lake are not very busy and you can cycle in a relaxed manner without having to constantly pay attention to the traffic. One small criticism: some of the access roads are not well signposted, but if you look around a bit, you'll surely find a good place to get to the shore and enjoy the scenery.
