테인 웨이(The Táin Way)는 카링포드(Carlingford)에서 시작하여 끝나는 40킬로미터(25마일) 순환 하이킹 트레일입니다. 고대 아일랜드 서사시 "타인 보 쿨랑게(Táin Bó Cúailnge)"의 이름을 딴 이 경로는 쿨리 반도(Cooley Peninsula)를 구불구불 지나며 해안 전망, 숲길, 산악 트랙을 다양하게 제공합니다. 일반적으로 이틀에 걸쳐 완료되며, 총 상승 고도는 약 1,025미터이고 검은색 배경에 노란색 화살표로 표시되어 있습니다. 하이킹을 하는 동안 청동기 시대의 석관묘와 같은 역사 유적지를 만나고 카링포드 라흐(Carlingford Lough)와 모른 산맥(Mourne Mountains)의 탁 트인 전망을 즐길 수 있습니다. 오메스(Omeath)와 레이븐스데일(Ravensdale)에 대체 출발점이 있어 다양한 시작 지점을 선택할 수 있습니다. 농경지 구간에서는 개를 동반할 수 없다는 점에 유의하시기 바랍니다.

Druid’s Circle, Clermont Estate: this small oval stone circle above the Flurry River, marked as both “Standing Stone” and “Druids Circle” on old maps, was likely uncovered in 1840 by Lord Clermont. Though some believe it’s prehistoric, others argue it may be 19th-century landscaping. Its irregular layout and re-set stones cast doubt on its authenticity. Still, it’s a scenic and mysterious woodland stop.

The surroundings are green and spacious, a nice mix of Irish idyll and relaxed hospitality. The owners seem to take the attention to detail seriously, which is reflected in the little things like the decorative elements and the cozy atmosphere.
