The village of Mizoen, located in the Isère department of France (Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region), is a typical mountain settlement at the entrance to the Écrins National Park, near Le Bourg-d'Oisans. Its history is deeply linked to mountain agriculture, livestock farming, and, more recently, tourism development thanks to its proximity to the renowned Les Deux Alpes ski resort, offering a peaceful and panoramic setting overlooking Lake Chambon.

A village of about 150 people, Besse is a timeless beauty. Located in the Écrins National Park, it is the starting point for many hiking and mountain biking excursions and can be reached from the road between Col de Sarenna and Mizoen, a 3-kilometer road with an average gradient of 9%.

Be careful of the clouds so as not to get lost. Very well marked. Be well equipped.

A 3,300m peak that can be reached by cable car. On a clear day, you can see the peaks of the Ecrins, such as the Meije.

Great descent with lots of bends and a magnificent panorama. The climb back up to the plateau is less fun but the descent is well worth it.

A beautiful old village with an interesting museum. The entire village itself is like an open-air museum. Next to the museum is a small shop with restaurants.

A beautiful green plain with a meandering river through the lowest point. The GR54 trail is relatively busy, while the other paths are quieter. There's a parking lot with a public restroom at the top.

This connecting trail connects the Oz 3300 resort and the hamlet of Sardonne. It also serves as a playground for downhill mountain bikers during the Megavalanche event. Imagine them hurtling down the slope at full speed. In the middle of the forest, you can sometimes see Lake Verney.
