Lumberjacks and stevedores took shelter in this house with their teams of horses or cows until the end of the 19th century, the wood was brought up to the pas de la Clé to be brought down to the foot of the cliff by a corridor. From there, they were transported to the Isère at Saint Gervais where rafts were formed for the south of France. Like many forest houses, it served as a shelter for the Maquisards during the last war.

The climb from the Méaudre/Autrans side is a bit steep (~10%) and sometimes technical... it's okay for the best and a bit of a challenge for novice adventurers 😉

Beautiful descent filled with hairpins with quite a slope. Overall smooth trail despite a few areas with stones.

Superb trail on the ridge, never dangerous. Shared between mountain bikers and hikers.

It goes up and down constantly along the ridge. Trail in S1, quite a few passages with roots and rolling stones. In gravel, you have to go down and push more than once but it's worth it.
