The viaduct is part of the former railway line from Sulęcin to Gorzów, running through Lubniewice, Jarnatów, Rudnica and Łagodzin. The track has been missing for many years, and the viaduct is one of many remnants of the former railway infrastructure. The black bicycle trail (PTTK) runs under the viaduct.

The railway bridge, which runs over the red stream and over the red bicycle trail (PTTK), is a component of the railway line from Rzepin to Międzyrzecz (from the former Reppen to Meseritz), which physically exists to this day, despite the fact that it is practically closed. Sometimes you can see a handcar passing by here. The last time I saw a 5-car freight train here was in 2020. Even in post-war times, about 200 m west of this bridge, there was a switch, thanks to which rail transport to Gorzów via Lubniewice took place. This place can be easily recognized by observing the widening and subsequent forking of the railway embankment. The railway line from Sulęcin to Gorzów was finally dismantled, and its memento in the immediate vicinity is a railway viaduct over the black bicycle trail (about 150 m north-west of the railway bridge).
