Sant Andreu del Far Església de nau única orientada de llevant a ponent, amb absis de planta poligonal, amb contraforts laterals i a les arestes. Té dues capelles laterals adossades, a manera de creuer. La nau és coberta amb tres voltes per aresta gòtica, amb nervis de pedra granítica, i totes les claus de volta estan esculpides, igual que les mènsules d’arrencada dels nervis, les quals representen caps humans. La coberta de la nau és de teula àrab a dues vessants, acabades amb una senzilla imbricació de teula i maó. Del s.XVII. Construcció cilíndrica, limitada amb gruixuts murs de paredat que tenien la funció de mantenir la temperatura constant. Coberta amb volta de pedra de mitja taronja i teula àrab amb ràfec. Al costat nord hi ha tres contraforts de paredat i la boca de sortida del gel. Aquest es feia en un passadís-mina, que va desaparèixer en ser remodelat l’entorn i el camí. En Salvi Arenes i en Bosch, pagesos i propietaris dels boscos del Corredor, van promoure al 1523 la construcció d’una petita capella, dedicada a la Mare de Déu dels Socors, tot interpretant uns suggeridors senyals celestials. Se’n feu càrrec l’ermità Bernat Penitència. Al 1583, el frare Lleonard Claus va construir l’actual temple, d’estil gòtic tardà. S’hi celebren tres aplecs a l’any: dilluns de Pasqua (general), sant Marc (gent de Dosrius) i primer de maig (vot de poble de Canyamars). Font: XPN

An ancient watchtower with a Roman base and medieval structure, perched at an altitude of 416 meters, offers breathtaking panoramic views of the coastline and the Vallès region. Built to monitor roads and warn of dangers, it was converted into a hunting lodge in 1906, with the addition of a kitchen and bedrooms. Later, it fell into disrepair, was vandalized, and was restored in 2011. Today, it is open to the public and a popular stop for cyclists due to its strategic location, shade, and natural viewpoint. The base retains Roman ashlar blocks, making it an archaeological rarity in the heart of the mountains.

Located about 6 km from Llinars del Vallès and at an altitude of 406 meters, the hermitage of Sant Sebastià offers beautiful views, shade, and a picnic area, making it an ideal stop along the way. Documented since 1640, it lay in ruins until 2016 when a group of volunteers began its reconstruction, which was faithfully completed in 2018. The hermitage, measuring 10 x 5 meters, was notable for its bell gable, voussoir archway, and granite blocks. Traditionally, gatherings were held there in honor of Saint Sebastian, protector against the plague and storms. Small stones found in the surrounding area were believed to bring good luck and protection.

This holm oak tree served for decades as a reference tree to mark the boundary between various properties in the area, a common custom before there were clear plans. Some elderly residents remember that, in the mid-20th century, the first meetings were held there to organize the cleaning of the roads before the rainy season. The point continues to be the natural beginning of the route towards the old road from Granollers to Cardedeu, with a flat and obvious access. A tree that, more than a century old, is a living memory of the territory.

I walk through dense woods where a huge pine tree once stood, serving as a landmark for the charcoal burners and shepherds of Montseny. The tree fell decades ago, but its name still marks the spot. The path, surrounded by silence and the scent of resin, retains that feeling of a natural border between two valleys. On clear days, the air here seems cleaner, as if it still holds some of the spirit of the old pine.
