A classic stop for cyclists in the Maresme region, located on an old farmhouse that served as a refueling point for tenant farmers and woodcutters long before mountain bike routes existed. What's less known is that this was once where carts transporting coal from Montnegre gathered, which explains the wide open area: it was a true turning point. For today's biker, it means one thing: air, shade, water, and space to breathe before deciding whether to head towards Turó Gros, Hortsavinyà, or the trails that descend towards Tordera. A useful stop in the heart of the mountains, with that old-house atmosphere where cyclists always seem to end up passing by.

Long before the current metal structure, this spot was already being used in the 19th century as a signal post, where forest rangers gave visual warnings from a wooden platform. It wasn't chosen solely for its height, but also because it's a place where the wind changes abruptly, which helps detect smoke from a great distance. In the 1970s, a rotating fiberglass cabin for continuous surveillance was tested there, but it was discarded because the wind moved it too much. An unassuming spot, but with a hidden history behind its forestry function.

In the heart of the forest of the Montnegre i el Corredor Natural Park, this old barn converted into a restaurant offers a break and a slice of bread under a roof of old beams. It is said that the owner Paco, when he was still a young hiker, found an old fragment of rural pottery here - the remains of a demolished farmhouse - and placed it on the bar to remember the legacy of farmers and carpentry that surrounded the place. Today, when you eat grilled food and immerse yourself in the calm of the forest, you can feel that trace of history and artisanal work that persists between tables and bites.
