From the Evangelical Church of Herrnhaag you have a wonderful view of the Ronneburg and the former Count's House, the Lichtenburg, in the Herrnhaag settlement.

Perfect road for racing bikes

The neoclassical hall church, made of unplastered basalt, was consecrated on September 10, 1867. The eastern church tower, topped with a slate-covered, eight-sided, pointed spire, is set within the nave. Its top floor houses the bell tower behind the triforium-style arcades. The western choir has a three-sided end. The four bays of the nave are separated by pilaster strips along the long walls between the arched windows in the center and the bull's-eye windows on the sides.

The Höchster weir is located on the Nidda between Nied and Höchst. Until 2013, there was a classic weir with flaps here. Since this weir was insurmountable for fish, it was converted into a weir, which allows fish to migrate effortlessly and offers them new habitats. Some species of fish lay their spawn here and do not want to be disturbed by swimming people or dogs. Short climb through the forest. Not very demanding with a maximum of 6%. But the road winds nicely through the forest, the asphalt is good and there is hardly any traffic. 👍
