Lovely new asphalt in many places due to the Tour '24; otherwise a beautiful climb, nice and quiet, and not really difficult anywhere.

Located near Nice, the Col de Braus is one of the ideal playgrounds in the hinterland. Located at the foot of Turini (you can access it via a fork 1km from the summit). Its mythical laces and difficult slopes will take you to 1000m before turning around or diving into Sospel for the more seasoned. On the practical side, a bakery well known to cyclists in the region will allow you to refuel at the foot of the pass in the village of Escarène in order to fill up on energy.

The ascent to Mont Chauve is entirely paved, even if the asphalt after the barrier is very damaged, and allows you to reach this panoramic panettone above Nice, enjoying a 360° view. As soon as you leave the M14 turning right for the Mont Chauve road, it takes a little over 7km of ascent over 540m positive; to reach the fort.
