Bouchier is a small, remote village tucked away in the mountains, offering a glimpse into how life in the mountains once was. After a landslide and rockfall, it was abandoned for over a century, until a few people returned in the mid-1950s. Passing through Bouchier feels like stepping back in time. A small fountain can still be found in its narrow streets.

Very steep but great landscapes. Be careful of the scree on the descent. You need good shoes!

In Occitan, the pousterle is a small gate (a postern). It comes from the Latin posterula, which means the back door. This toponym sometimes refers to a pass, which is a gate between two valleys. Glaciers carved out this gate where an arm passed between the glacier that occupied the Fournel valley and the one that flowed into the Vallouise valley.

This path located below the Col de la Pousterle offers beautiful views of the Écrins. The path is not difficult and allows you to raise your head without risk of falling!

The plateau between Les Têtes and Château Le Brun is a beautiful flowery alpine meadow. At an altitude of around 2,000 meters, you run on a cart track and enjoy the views. Further on, there is a beautiful viewpoint of Les Têtes.
