The summit, Durande, is an ancient isolated volcano that offers a magnificent 360° panorama as far as Mont Blanc.

This part of the path is located in a place called Limagne. It is synonymous with plain. Here you will find ecosystems made up of swamps and forests.

Summiteers, the road is narrow, but excellently prepared for the Tour den France next week, "Merci Thomas" is written in large letters among many other motivational graffiti, and I firmly believe that they meant me!!! partly the col has an incline of 14%, but nevertheless almost everything can be pedaled rhythmically in eco mode. The views back into the volcanic landscape of Auverne are breathtaking.

Like most peaks in the region, "La Durande" is of volcanic origin. From there, you have a phanstatic 360 degree view.

Certainly not the hardest, but the climb to the Col de Peyra Taillade still goes neatly in the legs.
