In Saubusse, you follow the Adour on the old towpath which has become EuroVelo n°3 the Scandibérique. The Barthes, vast flooded meadows shared by geese, horses and cows, not forgetting egrets, herons, storks as well as a rich flora of wet meadows.

Protecting 52 ha of wetlands, the Nature Reserve is home to characteristic habitats of the Landes accessible by a slatted path: swamp forest, peat bog, pond, stream. The Black Pond which gives its name to the reserve is distinguished by its deep waters and muddy bottoms.

Located on the banks of the Adour river, the village of Saubusse and its picturesque streets will be a first choice stopover. A few shops and restaurants, a 13th century church, a small river port with a shaded picnic area, an old towpath laid out for lovely walks.

At the top of the Tuc des Neuf Eglises, it is possible to see the nine bell towers of the church and the coastline. From here you can see the towns of Hossegor and Capbreton to the west. To the north, you can see the churches of Soorts and Angresse. To the south-east, the view opens onto the Marais d'Orx and to the south, the Labenne pine forest.
