A lovely little village with many beautiful, old houses. Even without visiting the railway museum, it's worth getting off the train here and exploring the village.

At the upper end of the Lai da Palpuogna, where the Albula feeds the lake, there is a beautiful, well-equipped barbecue area with a table and benches.

Preda train station is located at 1789 m above sea level at the northern portal of the Albula tunnel. There are hourly connections to Filisur - Chur and to Samedan - St. Moritz. The railway adventure trail to Bergün/Bravuogn begins in Preda, as does the toboggan run in winter.

Since the passenger trains cross in Preda, it is worth waiting a little. The uphill train arrives just before half past, and the downhill train arrives just after half past. From time to time you can also see freight trains.
