Gravel path with hedges and beautiful landscape sections. This used to be the estate of the University of Greifswald.

An authentic single trail. Fresh, grassy, puddled, a bit scratchy. Real forest feeling. On the northern edge of the forest there is a beautiful view of Weitenhagen's eastern outskirts. A detour to the Long Mountain in the forest is possible. "Burial graves from the Bronze Age (1800 to 600 BC) have been archaeologically proven in the forest area south of Weitenhagen." Sand path with cherry trees on a colorful bee pasture. Here, wild flowers are actively preserved on poor soil by the agricultural company. The flowering area is part of a wild bee project, which also includes the wild bee hill on the field north of the path. The Guester Weg to Weitenhagen is to be expanded, but not all residents are convinced of this. This would mean that valuable sandy areas for wild bees would be lost. It is also not beneficial to seal more areas in times of climate change, because they heat up more quickly and drain the water more quickly, and groundwater cannot or hardly forms.

The Söllkensee was created in the 19th century by peat extraction in "Küsterbäcks Moor", a meltwater channel of the Greifswald terminal moraine. Today it is a natural monument and spawning ground for common toads and moor frogs. In the north-eastern part, the new siltation process is clearly visible. A cotton grass peat bog has formed here, which is partly forested with downy birches.

On a paved path it goes through the forest.
