I agree with @Pierrick. The ramp for the bike is really not practical and steep. In my opinion the bike ride is simpler for the few steps

If you want to quench your thirst, drinking water points are present in addition to bars (mostly pubs) along the boulevard. Note that the SNCF / bus station is below and a park is also present there.

Benches and tables are present at different places on the path of the palace. There are plenty of places to relax.
