If you're not afraid to climb down the 170 steps, you'll find a beautiful and quiet pebble beach, the only drawback being that you have to climb the stairs again later.

You have to descend a good 170 steep steps to reach the bay (and later, of course, back up again). This keeps the number of visitors on the pebble beach manageable. Here, you're still relatively undisturbed. 👍🏼

On the Feast of the Virgin Mary, August 15, 1924, we experienced a happy local festival with a good atmosphere. Unfortunately, we didn't have enough time to try the oysters. It would certainly have been nice to stay a few days.

We were very surprised when we drove down the mountain and suddenly saw this architecturally very remarkable church in front of us. The entrance area is particularly beautifully decorated with the statutes of the apostles and a Madonna from the 14th century. The altarpiece shows a scene that is not often shown: Jesus and the children that he calls to him, even though his disciples try to stop them.

Despite its small size, the town of Bréhec has many shops. Isolated from the large crowds of Paimpol or Saint-Brieuc, it constitutes a first choice refuge for itinerants who walk the GR 34 (customs officers' path). As the equinoxes approach, the ocean recedes into the distance and reveals a large and languorous beach. Don’t be surprised by the onlookers who go there armed with a rake. They came for sand lance, a fried food very popular in the region.

This chapel is undoubtedly one of the jewels of the region. In this 13th century building we find the famous fresco of the dance of death, a unique piece. Previously hidden by a whitewash, it was rediscovered in 1856. We can see skeletons shaking hands with representatives of all categories of medieval society. The chapel also houses very rich statuary.
