As you skirt the Naussac reservoir, you will discover the Cascade du Donozau. This waterfall, which cascades down a small rock face, creates a picturesque scene ideal for a peaceful picnic. The surrounding area offers a variety of hiking trails that will allow you to explore the diverse landscapes of the region.

As its name suggests, this hamlet attached to the town of Alleyras is distinguished by its pretty bridge which overlooks the Allier.

Chapeauroux is a small town of a few houses which has the triple advantage of having an SNCF station, a municipal campsite and a beach on the banks of the Allier. The town on the other side of the bridge bears the charming name of New World. You are here on the border between the departments of Haute-Loire and Lozère.

Pont-d'Alleyras, also called Alleyras, is located in the steep gorges of Haut-Allier to the east of the Devès plateau and to the west of Margeride. In this very small village, you quite unexpectedly find a starred restaurant which serves cuisine of exquisite finesse. Fine gourmets, remember to book!

From here we have a superb view of the Allier.

Lac du Bouchet is a magnificent body of water suitable for swimming and walking. Indeed a landscaped path goes around it. On its southern part there is a beach and a relaxation area. You will also find at the level of its northern part a very good restaurant which serves local dishes.
