The village of Aumont-Aubrac is home to the Saint-Etienne church with a mix of Romanesque and Baroque styles. Mentioned as early as 1106, it is today an essential stopover for shell hikers. Remodeled during the 19th century, the church retains a trace of each period of its construction. The apse is the oldest part while the nave seems to predate the 14th century. It has a square bell tower ending in a spire, raised in 1809 with stones from the cemetery. Its pointed arched south portal is one of the most remarkable in the region. Its granite rubble facade is typical of local architecture. If the architecture remains sober and typical of the Romanesque style, the decoration lets its contemporaneity shine through. The magnificent stained glass windows dated 1967 are the work of a contemporary artist named Ménard. In its nave, at the entrance to the south chapel, is a superb painting representing the Virgin carrying the Child and the young John the Baptist.

The Pic de Mus dominates Aubrac and the village of Saint-Laurent-de-Muret from a height of 1,327m. It offers a magnificent panorama over the Margeride, the Cévennes and the Cantal mountains.

La Chaze-de-Peyre formerly belonged to the domain of the Barons of Peyre (11th - 14th century). Some other places in the region also bear the affix "de Peyre", which testifies to their former membership. In the village, pilgrims will find drinking water and toilets.

A beautiful pond where you can cool off on hot days. The equipped beach welcomes you for sunbathing before taking a dip in the cool water.

Located on the Haute Colagne, on the foothills of the Margeride at an altitude of 1,044m, the artificial lake of Ganivet, like the lake of Charpal, is fed by the Colagne. The lake is remarkable for the small wooded islet located in its center and accessible by swimming. This small shallow lake is home to some pretty brown trout from the Colagne river, as well as gudgeons or minnows.
