The Château de Vendôme is a magnificent hiking destination. As you climb the hill, you're rewarded with breathtaking views of the town and beyond. The walk is short and strenuous, but well worth the effort. You'll be surrounded by the castle ruins, which are not accessible but provide a perfect spot to relax and soak up the atmosphere. Don't forget your camera to capture the ambiance and stunning views!

The Abbey of the Trinity is a Benedictine abbey founded in the 11th century in Vendôme. You can stroll through the abbey and admire its Romanesque and Gothic architecture, as well as its remarkable cloister. You can also discover the history and culture of the people who lived and prayed in the abbey, which was a center of learning and art in the Middle Ages.

The Saint Martin Church in Villetrun dates from the 12th century in Romanesque style with a bell tower and remarkable frescoes, sculptures and stained glass windows.

The Tour de Coulommiers is a medieval tower that was built in the 12th century. You can clearly see the chimney and hearth of the tower, giving you insight and understanding of the ruins you see before you.

The Saint-Georges Gate marks the entrance to the town when crossing the Loir from the south. Its construction dates from the 14th century, although some elements were added later. From the bridge, you can admire the machicolations, medallions and ornamental sculptures present on the structure.

The castle and its outbuildings date from the 14th and 17th centuries, but the original fortress was built in the early 11th century.
