Albula Pass, a beautiful road up from Tiefencastel, with several tough sections before Bergün, and very little traffic! Full of great places to stop for a snack, the road climbs parallel to a railway line that occasionally shows itself from the road, offering great views.

We went the other way, taking the left (upper) path from Marguns at point 2300, pushing the bike for a maximum of 100 meters. From point 2489 Munt da la Bêscha (highest point), the entire route is rideable (the path has been heavily reconditioned and is in good condition) all the way to Samedan.

The Lai da Palpuogna is a picturesque mountain lake that has gained enormous popularity in recent years thanks to social media. Whether coming from the Albula Pass or on the way there, the idyllic location invites you to linger. Despite its fame, you will always find days and times when you are undisturbed.

The Albula Pass is steeped in history and is one of the most beautiful passes in Switzerland. Accompanied by the concert of marmot whistles, you wind your way through the mighty panorama up to 2,315 meters. At the summit is the Albula Hospice - a stop is a must. Chef Jeanette is a passionate cook and warm hostess.
