Not the most beautiful park in Berlin - but still the green (and dusty) lung of Kreuzberg SO36. In the meantime, the reputation has improved a bit and in summer families spend the afternoon in the meadows of the park.

This elongated green area can no longer be seen as meaning it used to be. Here was once a mighty head station, from where the trains went to the southeast and Silesia. After the division of Germany and the building of the Berlin Wall, it lost its importance and was gradually removed in the 1960s. The park was created in the 1980s, and the park ends at a preserved railway bridge over the Landwehr Canal, today reserved for pedestrians.
The park is colloquially called Görli

Görlitzer Park is one of the largest parks and recreational areas in Berlin's Kreuzberg district.

Unfortunately, the "Görli", as he is also affectionately called, has gained the dubious reputation and sad notoriety as a drug transfer center.
