The classic route to the end of our trip. The bus connection is perfect; we arrive in Sassnitz early, and a few minutes later the bus takes us to Lohme. We were here 13 years ago. A lot has changed in Prora. There are numerous hotel beds and restaurants. The youth hostel in one of the buildings is probably particularly good.

We start on the south side of Lake Sellin. The cycle path is deserted today, with temperatures near freezing. In Alt Reddevitz, we warm up at the Kliesow's Reuse inn with some delicious herring. The path continues through the woods towards Göhren. The observation tower at Hotel Vju is freely accessible

It's cold, but the sun is shining. We walk through a beautiful beech forest along the top of the cliffs to Sellin. We stop in Baabe for a coffee and end up in Göhren; oops, it's already getting dark. The 4:00 PM bus is cancelled, the next one comes at 4:30 PM – that's fine too.

Repeated check of the rain radar: yes, it's working in East Berlin. We hike in a pleasant group with @Anette, @frankr, and Carola. The sun makes a brief appearance, Lake Trebus is impressive, and we only encounter a few other walkers. The Spree is always lovely... On the way back, it starts raining again
