The city of Jüterbog is the second oldest city in the state of Brandenburg and consists of various medieval settlement cores, which differ significantly from one another to this day. With its walls, towers and gates, Jüterbog still bears witness to the city's defensive capacity in the Middle Ages. The city wall is one of the oldest in the state of Brandenburg. In the 16th century, the city was considered impregnable due to its strong fortifications.
