The so-called Abtshof am Planeberg is a late Gothic brick building from 1480 and used to serve the nearby Zinna Monastery as the municipal monastery courtyard of the representative office in the city. Today the Abtshof houses the Municipal Museum.

As a reference to the Reformation, it should be mentioned here that the Zinna Monastery was not secularized until 1553, when the last monks left the monastery. And that although it was drawn into the process of dissolution early on by the presence of the Reformation and its preachers in the city.
