A rustic wooden shelter houses a wine barrel, from which you can enjoy cool drinks for a small fee – from water and soda to fine regional wines. Perfect for a short break and enjoying the tranquility of the forest. Tip: 💡 Don't forget cash (preferably small change) – self-service is classic and straightforward here.

🕊️ Momberg War Memorial – Commemoration with a Far-reaching View High up on the Momberg near Theley stands the war memorial – quiet, simple, and surrounded by nature. It commemorates the fallen of the World Wars and is also a place of reflection. Directly next to it, a sweeping view opens up over the St. Wendel region – with fields, hills, and villages stretching to the horizon. 🌄 Tip: If you stand up here at sunrise or in the evening hours, you'll experience one of the most impressive panoramic views in the region – combined with a moment of silence and reflection.

The Bostalsee is simply fantastic, whatever the weather.

🌲💧 Larch Forest Watering Hole – a tranquil spot amidst the greenery This small watering hole suddenly appears between ancient larches – quiet, hidden, almost a little enchanted. Not a large rest area, not a viewpoint – but one of those moments when you pause for a moment and realize: "This is exactly why I go hiking." For me, it's a very special place on the Rötelstein Trail.

From the Wildfrauhöhle a little further away you get a great view over the town.
